DIRECTIONS

The following page contains directions for using our system for both Employers and Job Seekers. If you have further questions, please contact us or visit our FAQ page.

Job Seekers
It is recommended that you print out these steps so that you can refer to them while you are going through the actual steps on the web site.

Step 1
All users of our system must register in order to post resumes and browse all jobs. For job seekers, this is a free account. To register, go to the home page and in the orange box that’s labeled “Job Seekers”, click on the “Join Now” button.

Note: if you’ve already registered to become a user, click the login button and enter your username and password. If you’ve forgotten your password, click on the “Forget your password?” link on the login page to recover your password.

Step 2
Once you’re on the “Job Seeker Signup” page, you’re required to fill out all the fields with an * after them.

Here are a few tips when filling out this page:

  • Choose a username and password that you’ll remember and write them down
  • Enter legitimate information as Employers browsing resumes will see all your information and will contact you using this information
  • Make sure you signup to receive the updates and specials email to stay in touch with what’s happening here at Southern Oregon Jobs

Once you’ve filled out all the information and made sure it was correct, click the “Register” button at the bottom of the page to submit your information.

Step 3
When you’ve successfully registered, you’ll be taken to the “Welcome” screen. From here you’ll see two options you can do, “Update your resume” and “Search ads.”

Update Your Resume:
To update your resume, click the “Update Your Resume” link. You’ll be taken to the page where you can enter your entire resume. Remember to be as detailed as possible when filling out your resume because that’s what will set you apart from everyone else. Once you’ve entered all pertinent information, click the “Submit” button to save your changes.

Search Ads:
Searching job postings is easy using our search page. To search for jobs, click the “Search Ads” link. Select your desired job category, then type in the City and click the “Find Jobs” button to begin the search.

Employers

Employers must register and pay for an account in order to post jobs and browse all resumes (click here for a complete price list). To register, go to the home page and in the blue box that’s labeled “Employers”, click on the “Join Now” button.

Note: if you’ve already registered to become a user, click the login button and enter your username and password. If you’ve forgotten your password, click on the “Forget your password?” link on the login page to recover your password.

Step 2
Once you’re on the “Employer Signup” page, you’re required to fill out all the fields with an * after them.

Here are a few tips when filling out this page:

  • Choose a username and password that you’ll remember and write them down
  • Enter legitimate information
  • Select your account type carefully. If you have multiple postings throughout the year, then you might look at the 6 month or 1 year accounts
  • Make sure you signup to receive the updates and specials email to stay in touch with what’s happening here at Southern Oregon Jobs

Once you’ve filled out all the information including credit card and account type, click the “Register” button at the bottom of the page to submit your information.

Step 3
When you’ve successfully registered as an Employer, you’ll be taken to the “Welcome” screen. From here you’ll see several options you can do, “Update your profile”, “View/Edit Ads”, “Search Resumes” and “Make a Payment.”

Update Your Profile:
To update your profile, click the “Update Your Profile” link. You’ll be taken to the page where you can revise your entire profile. Once you’ve entered all pertinent information, click the “Submit” button to save your changes.

View/Edit Ads:
To edit and view all ads you’ve placed, click the “View/Edit Ads” link. That will bring you to a list of your own ads, and once you’re looking at them, click the “Edit” link to change any part of your ad. Once you’ve changed your information, click the “Submit” button to save your changes.

Search Resumes:
Searching resumes is easy using our resume search page. To search for resumes, click the “Search Resumes” link. Select the desired job category you’re looking to fill, then type in the City, Degree and Skills you’re looking for. Next, click the “Find Jobs” button to begin the search.

Make a Payment:
Click the “Make a Payment” link to pay for another ad or to pay for your monthly payment. Enter your credit card information, select what you’re going to pay for, and click the “Make Payment” button at the bottom of the page.
